Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Do I need a visa to travel for treatment in Cyprus?

  •  UK citizens do not need a visa for short-term stays in Northern Cyprus. You only need a valid passport.
  • For longer stays (over 90 days), our team will help you with the necessary extensions.

2. How do I travel to the hospital from the UK or Ireland?

  • Direct flights from the UK land in Southern Cyprus (Larnaca or Paphos airports).
  • From there, we arrange private transfers to our hospital in Northern Cyprus.
  • Alternatively, patients can fly via Turkey into Ercan Airport (Northern Cyprus).

3. Is airport transfer included?

Yes. We provide safe and confidential airport transfers for all our international patients.

4. What is included in the treatment package?

  • Medical detox under 24/7 supervision
  • Psychiatric & psychological therapies (CBT, group therapy, family therapy)
  • Accommodation and meals
  • Access to therapeutic activities: yoga, walking, spa, work therapy, social programmes
  • Aftercare planning before discharge

5. How much does treatment cost?

Costs vary depending on the length of stay and type of programme (inpatient or outpatient).

6. Do you accept UK insurance or NHS referrals?

  • At present, treatment is self-funded.
  • Some UK private health insurance providers may cover part of the costs; please check with your insurer.
  • NHS does not directly fund treatment abroad.

7. Is treatment confidential?

Yes. We comply with international standards of patient confidentiality, including GDPR (UK & EU data protection laws). Your treatment and medical records are kept strictly private.

8. What language is treatment provided in?

  • Our primary language is Turkish, but we have English-speaking doctors, psychologists, and staff.
  • Translation support can also be arranged if needed.

9. How long do patients usually stay?

  • Detox alone: 7–14 days.
  • Comprehensive treatment: minimum 21 days.
  • Rehabilitation & aftercare: 1–3 months (sometimes longer for complex cases).

10. What addictions do you treat?

 We provide specialised treatment for:

  • Alcohol
  • Heroin & opioids
  • Cocaine
  • Cannabis & synthetic cannabinoids (Spice/Bonzai)
  • MDMA/ecstasy
  • Inhalants
  • Prescription medication misuse
  • Smoking cessation
  • Eating disorders
  • Gambling addiction
  • Dual diagnosis (addiction + mental health conditions)

11. What happens after treatment — will I get support back home?

Yes. We prepare a personalised aftercare plan, including:

  • Online therapy sessions
  • Relapse prevention strategies

12. Can my family be involved in treatment?

Yes. Family therapy sessions are available both in-person and online. We believe family involvement is key to recovery.
